Through the Woofing GlassDogs' interpretations are so innocent. They just want to keep
our company and assist in their own special way. Their intentions are noble.
Bruno is your typical German Shepherd. The breed is known to be protective, loyal, and strong.
Case in point - That protective instinct really kicked in for him. Since we've moved into our house. Bruno has killed
4 garden hoses who somehow infiltrated our backyard.
Loyal
- Watching alpha Michael continue on his jog without him, Bruno started to cry. Bruno immediately bolted after
him, as if he needed to accompany Michael on some dangerous mission. He somehow forgot I was still holding his
leash. 2 long blocks of trying to slow him down by grabbing onto random permanent fixtures along the way (mailbox,
newspaper machine, street light), we finally caught up to Michael. And all was good. Entertainment for the folks stuck
in traffic.
Strong - So we had to fix our
blinds because our protective and loyal shepherd guards our house from squirrels, and he does recon at the window. When
he sees a squirrel, it is battle mode. The blinds are just collateral damage.
Getting someone to install new
blinds made sense. Keeping the dogs in the backyard while the carpenter was working made sense. To Bruno, it didn't
make sense. Why was this guy drilling holes in the wall? Squirrels might get in. Bruno had to invetigate who was
there. Result? 3 sheet-thick window panels of glass - shattered.
Though we had to replace the door, I was
a little proud of our K-9.

In
front of his 'work' (he did not want me to take this foto)
Our little demon dog, thanks for the companionship
and constant laughter.
